Patti Henderson, filmmaker, director, editor and script supervisor, brings creativity and understanding of all aspects of production to all her positions.
Her work has played at festivals internationally, broadcast on CBC, CTV, Bravo!, Knowledge, SCN and KTSC 9.
Her first drama, UP THE WALL (1997), was the FIRST Digital Video – 35mm project to be shot in Canada and financed by Sony Canada and B.C. Film.
For CBC, Patti directed and edited, SALMON CHANTED EVENING. The film, a magic realism drama with a ‘touch of reality,’ was selected from over 350 scripts and produced in association with CBC and British Columbia Film. It aired on CBC’s ZED program and was nominated for seven LEO FILM AWARDS, winning for Best Editor and Best Sound Design.
Patti has since Directed over 15 Drama’s, commercials, PSA’s, Documentaries and Lifestyle programs and she is an alumna of WOMEN IN THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR (WIDC) Program at The Banff Centre. She was one of eight emerging women directors selected from across Canada to participate in the program.
A few select credits as SCRIPT SUPERVISOR include Feature Film RV, for Director Barry Sonnenfeld, EIGHT BELOW, for Director Frank Marshal, METALLICA THROUGH THE NEVER 3D, MOTIVE, DA VINCI’S INQUEST, FRINGE, SUPERNATURAL, SMALLVILLE, DARK ANGEL.
A few select credits as EDITOR include Feature Film DREAMING OF JULIA with Harvey Keitel, THE SPACE BETWEEN, Directed by Chad Lowe, starring Hilary Swank. Comet Post Production – Co-Owner. Credits include such projects as, Hard Core Logo, Kitchen Party, Taillights Fade, Twilight of the Ice Nymphs.
Patti is currently writing and applying for funding for her feature film script, TROUBLE WILL FIND ME… her next Directing venture.
Patti will be launching a fund raising campaign to finance post-production of her documentary film, FEAR NO ART, in Early 2014.
